Makeup artists in India mastering the art of online saving. They are shopping online for their branded makeup essentials and saving money on top-tier makeup brands.
We took a survey of 1500 makeup artists who shop for the makeup products. Through the survey, we got 1300 positive responses from the makeup artists. Based on this data we created this report to help understand the shopping behaviors and online shopping trends for make-up artists in India.
1. Way of Shopping for Makeup Products:

From the survey respondents, 66% of respondents shop online for their makeup products. 14% of respondents shop offline for their makeup needs. And 20% of respondents shop online occasionally for their makeup products. This shows that more respondents prefer online shopping for purchasing makeup goods.

The majority of makeup artists which is 29%, shop for makeup products online. Then, 13% respondents shop for skincare products. 20% of respondents shop for haircare products. 26% of makeup artists shop for bodycare products online. 5% of respondents shop for tools and brushes online. 7% of users shop for other accessories.

we understand that more number of makeup artists shop for makeup, haircare, and bodycare products online.

From the survey data, we understand the brands that makeup artists shop online. 38% of respondents shop for MAC Cosmetics online because they can get these products are available online at lower prices than market prices.
24% of respondents shop for Maybelline brand products. 16% respondents shop for Lakme products. 12% of respondents shop for L’Oreal Professional products. And, 10% of respondents shop online for other brands.
This shows that a larger number of makeup artists shop online for makeup products from reputed brands.

30% of users, which is the highest, are saving Rs. 20,000 to 25,000 per month by shopping online for makeup products. And 8% of users saving Rs. 5,000 to 10,000 which is the lowest, per month by shopping online for makeup products.
This shows that a larger number of makeup artists savings more money by shopping online for makeup essentials.

A majority of surveyed makeup artists actively use coupons to get discounts while shopping online.
